Unlike other anti-shock systems, MASTERS' unique Kompressor system is found in the pole handle, not on the shaft of the pole. The Kompressor system allows hikers to easily lock (turn off) or unlock (turn on) the anti-shock device to meet the demands of the terrain.
The Kompressor technology reduces pole weight without sacrificing durability to insure superior function. Extended trekking pole use on difficult or rocky terrain can exhaust wrists and elbows. The anti-shock system uses a spring to minimize such strain. When ascending, close the Kompressor system to maintain stability. When descending, activate the spring to feel the benefits of this unique shock absorption system.
